At its annual meeting in November, Kaufman Center’s Board of Trustees elected Rosalind Devon as the new Chairman of the Board, and Andrea Brown was elected as the Board’s President. At this meeting, Bethany Millard completed her service as Chairman of the Board, and several other officers completed their terms as well.
Bethany Millard served as Chairman during a very dynamic time for the Center, leading the Board through the extensive renovations and capital campaign, as well as a Strategic Planning process that has added focus and direction to the Center’s growth. We are very pleased that she will remain in the leadership lineup as a Vice President of the Board. She will also resume her previous role as Chairman of the Special Music School Advisory Board, a position she originated as the school was being established in the early 1990s.
Rosalind Devon began her long association with Kaufman Center in 1983, first as a guitar student at Lucy Moses School and then as a faculty member in the school’s Summer Musical Theater Workshop. She joined the Board of Trustees in 1994 and has also served as Chairman of Kaufman Center’s Theater Wing Advisory Board.
Andrea Brown first became involved with Kaufman Center following her daughter’s wonderful experiences with the Center’s Theater Wing. She joined the Theater Wing Advisory Board, and became a member of the Board of Trustees in 2005. More recently she has also served as Chairman of Kaufman Center’s Building Committee.
