Aaron Quinn

Aaron Quinn is an active guitarist and music educator. While attending the acclaimed School for Creative and Performing Arts in Cincinnati, and the Conservatory of Capital University in Columbus, he honed his musical ability with persistent study of iconic figures ranging from Oliver Messiaen to Trent Reznor. At Capital University, his primary teacher was Stan Smith. As a performer, Aaron has given concerts internationally and collaborated with a wide range of ensembles, some of which include Realicide, Fields and Planes, Liver Quiver, and Oliver Oak. Notable performance venues include the Kennedy Center and the Smithsonian Institution. Aaron’s recent musical projects have been centered on the chamber music of Toru Takemitsu, Spectralism, Bud Powell, and Balinese ceremonial funeral music of the gamelan ensemble. As a teacher, Aaron focuses on guitar, ukulele, and banjo technique, in addition to composition and arranging. He enjoys working with children and adults on repertoire ranging from Jazz and Improvisation, to Rock, Blues, Folk and Pop.
