When to Enroll
Due to the popularity of our courses and our small class sizes, many of our classes fill quickly.
We recommend registering in a timely fashion, well before August 1.
Please allow three to four weeks after you've registered to receive your class schedule. If registration has not been confirmed, please call or email the Education Office before the first day of class or first lesson.
Please note the age listed for each class is the student's age as of September 1, the first day of the current school year.

Written request, either by letter or email, should be directed to the Registrar of Lucy Moses School at firstname.lastname@example.org. Verbal requests or notifications of intention to withdraw do not fulfill this requirement. Notifying the teacher does not constitute notice of withdrawal. Students receiving financial aid or scholarship forfeit their award upon withdrawal.
Q: Do you offer trial classes?
A: Because of our flexible refund policy, we do not offer trial lessons.

For group classes, students are permitted one program change per school year. For any additional changes (class, day, time or teacher), there will be a $10 charge.
While this is unusual, classes at Lucy Moses School may be cancelled due to insufficient enrollment. If this occurs, the school will make every effort to reschedule the student for another class at a convenient time. If this is not possible, you will receive a full refund including both tuition and registration fees.
Q: What is your make-up policy for group classes?
A: In case of illness or other need to be absent, we do not offer make-up classes. Students enrolled in a class with multiple sections, with the permission of the instructor, may attend another section of the class. If the instructor misses a class, a make-up will be scheduled or a refund will be issued.
Q: What is the make-up policy for private lessons?
A: If you are going to be absent from a private lesson, students/parents should contact the teacher directly by phone. One excused absence is allowed per year with 24-hour advance notification. In that case, a make-up lesson may be scheduled at a time that is mutually convenient.
Q: What is your attendance policy?
A: Students are expected to attend and be punctual to all lessons, classes and rehearsals. Students who are routinely late, unprepared or demonstrate inappropriate behavior may have their registration cancelled and, if receiving financial aid, their award cancelled.
Lucy Moses School normally closes for snow when the New York City public schools do. We announce snow closings on our website and our 212 501 3360 voicemail. You may also visit www.nyc.gov or listen to WCBS (880 AM) for snow closing information.
Q: How are private lessons assigned?
A: Returning students continuing with the same teacher should specify preferred days and times on the registration form. Requests for a specific teacher are granted on a space available basis. New students have the opportunity to meet with the Coordinators of the Young People's and Adult Divisions for consultation and placement.
