Two iconoclastic composer/performers with their ears open to an enormous range of sounds and forms, composer/percussionist Susie Ibarra and vocalist/songwriter Mirah Yom Tov Zeitlyn, debut a new collaborative work exploring the substance and ethereality of spacewalks, sound and the human experience: How has perception and perspective been altered by the advent of star sailing? Written for small ensemble, the piece integrates percussion, strings and voice in a delicate and inquisitive opera. The program also includes new arrangements of works by both artists. With Steven Reker, voice; Alex Guy, viola; and Matt Gold, percussion.
