The New York New Music Ensemble honors pre-eminent British composer Jonathan Harvey with a cornucopia of intense and big-boned chamber works: his superb sextet, "Concelebration" (1981), the trio for flute, bass clarinet and piano entitled "The Riot" (1993), his "Piano Trio" (1971), "Be(com)ing" (1979) for clarinet and piano, and the American premiere of his new solo clarinet work, "Cirrus Light" (2012).  A recent documentary of Harvey's life, "Towards and Beyond" made by the well known director, Barrie Gavin, will be shown in conjunction with the concert.

This concert was originally scheduled for October 29 but was re-scheduled due to Hurricane Sandy.
