A concert featuring three outstanding musical groups from the Philippines - The Philippine Montessori Center Instrumental Ensemble (PMCIE), Temple Hill International School Music Ensemble (THISME) and world-renowned Philippine Madrigal Singers.
PMCIE and THISME are percussion ensembles of child musicians ages 4 to 6 and 7-10.
They will perform classical, contemporary, and Philippine music. Worthy of note is inclusion of Angklung (bamboo shaker) and banduria into the groups’ percussive set-up.
The Philippine Madrigal Singers is one of the world’s most awarded choirs, reaping all the top prizes in most of the world’s prestigious choral competitions. Their repertoire includes various styles and forms - from renaissance to popular music.
