Internationally renowned mezzo-soprano Stephanie Blythe will present a recital of songs with pianist Alan Louis Smith focused on her deep love for and connection with contemporary American Song. The recital will include songs by Daniel Mertzlufft, Ben Moore, Alan Louis Smith and Paul Moravec. Ms. Blythe’s performance of Far Memory, written for and dedicated to her by Mertzlufft, will be both her own world premiere performance of the cycle and the NYC premiere. The program will also include two fantastic emerging artists and recent graduates from the Fall Island Vocal Arts Seminar, tenor Stephen Carroll and Pianist Chelsea Whitaker.
