Words to Love and Live By: Works by Copland, Ives, Satie, Zilcher, William Bolcolm & Frank Bridge and more.
With Brent Funderburk, piano. Irish mezzo-soprano and Juilliard graduate Naomi O’Connell, recently hailed by the New York Times as a "radiant mezzo-soprano," deftly balances her love of opera with that of art song, musical theater and popular song. First Prize Winner in the 2011 Concert Artists Guild competition, O’Connell will present a collection of songs she calls Words to Love and Live By, including Barber’s “Sure on This Shining Night” and Bernstein’s “Dream With Me.”
