SHUFFLE Concert is a new and innovative performance concept. When one arrives at a SHUFFLE Concert they receive an individually-numbered menu filled with more than 40 musical masterpieces in every possible music style, from Baroque, Classical and Romantic to Broadway, Jazz and Pop. If your number is selected you choose what style and piece will be performed next. Every concert is therefore a completely new experience, both for the audience and the SHUFFLE Concert performers.
The first half will be programmed and will include two new works by renowned composers Avner Dorman and Jonathan Keren, Ravel’s Sonatine arranged for the SHUFFLE ensemble from the solo piano version, and two works by Astor Piazzolla. The second half will be a SHUFFLE Concert, where the audience will choose from a set menu of pieces from the Baroque, Classical, Romantic, Jazz, Broadway and Latin musical genres. Pieces on the December 11 menu will include Telemann Concerto, a number from the Gershwins' Porgy and Bess, a movement from a Dvorak Trio and a Broadway number from Chicago.
The highly acclaimed SHUFFLE Ensemble is a New York-based group of exceptionally accomplished chamber musicians, all Juilliard, Yale and NEC graduates: soprano Mary Mackenzie, violinist David Lisker, cellist Linor Katz, clarinetist Moran Katz, oboist Hassan Anderson and pianist Eliran Avni.
