Kaufman Music Center & the Sundance Institute Theatre Program present:

An Anniversary Reading of Hollywood Arms
By Carol Burnett & Carrie Hamilton
Directed by Mark Brokaw & starring Tony winners Tyne Daly & Michele Pawk and two cast members of the 2015 Tony winner "Fun Home": Tony nominees Emily Skeggs and Sydney Lucas

Carol Burnett and Sundance Institute Theatre Program Artistic Director Philip Himberg will introduce this special anniversary concert reading of the Broadway production of Burnett's autobiographical play Hollywood Arms. Written with her daughter Carrie Hamilton and based on Burnett’s bestselling memoir, the play tells the story of three generations of fiercely-determined women living on welfare in a one-room Hollywood apartment. Directed by Broadway veteran and Sundance Institute alum Mark Brokaw, the recipient of Drama Desk, Obie and Lucille Lortel Awards, the reading stars Tony winner Tyne Daly (Gypsy, It Shoulda Been You), 2015 Tony nominees Emily Skeggs (Fun Home) and Sydney Lucas (Fun Home) plus Michele Pawk (Hairspray, Cabaret, Mamma Mia!) in her Tony-winning role.

Hollywood Arms was developed, in part, at the 1999 Sundance Institute Theatre Lab at the Sundance Resort.
