Kaufman Music Center's Tuesday Matinees series presents some of today’s finest young classical performers who are well on their way to international renown. The 2013-14 artists include some extraordinary ensembles, including ECCO (East Coast Chamber Orchestra), the Ariel Quartet, the Lysander Piano Trio and MultiPiano, a dazzling keyboard spectacle featuring young virtuosos from Israel performing in combinations of four, six and eight hands. The lineup also includes three brilliant soloists: Violinist Kristin Lee, winner of Astral Artists' 2010 National Auditions; pianist Steven Lin, winner of the 2012 Concert Artists Guild Victor Elmaleh Competition; and violinist Paul Huang, First Prize winner of the 2011 Young Concert Artists International Auditions.
The recipients of critical acclaim and an impressive array of major international prizes, these young artists have performed on the stages of the world’s most prestigious concert halls. You’ll be hearing a lot more about these young musicians in years to come – in the meantime, see them at Merkin first!
