Chanel Wang is a recent graduate of Special Music School High School. She has been studying piano since she was three and has practiced every day since! Chanel began to perform competitively at age four, giving her first solo recital when she was just six years old. She transferred to SMS in high school so she could have a quality music education that could take her to her "dream school," Juilliard.
Chanel says, "the most amazing thing about SMS is probably the small, welcoming community. Teachers are so understanding, sweet and kind. I feel very comfortable being in the school, learned to socialize more, and deepened my understanding of music.”
This spring, Chanel's dream came true. She was accepted into Juilliard, and will begin there as a freshman in just a few short weeks.
