Jazz and Broadway I

Coordination, strength and flexibility are developed with dance technique exercises while students enjoy the movement with music from Broadway and children’s theater. Students will learn to express themselves in creative movement with a variety of music, characters and dance combinations. Creating a choreographed dance will provide a fun learning experience and sense of accomplishment. No previous experience required.

The curriculum is designed to continue through the Fall and Spring semesters. Students are encouraged to register for the same day and time for both Fall and Spring. Students enrolling in Fall and Spring Dance classes together receive a 10% discount on the Spring class tuition.

Spring classes with a minimum age of 4 and beyond culminate in a performance in May in Merkin Hall.
