Svetlana Smolina joined the piano faculty of Lucy Moses School in 2009. She holds a DMA from University of Michigan. Since 2011 Svetlana has been directing the piano program at Philadelphia International Music Festival. She was a soloist at Carnegie Hall with Mariinsky Orchestra under Valery Gergiev, and at Disney Hall with iPalpiti Orchestra under Eduard Schmieder. Her recording with Gergiev of Igor Stravinsky's Les Noces on Mariinsky Label received ICMA award. Svetlana 's American debut was at the Ravinia Festival and with NY Philharmonic/ Valery Gergiev at Avery Fisher Hall. She has given recitals at Salzburg, Edinburgh, Gilmore, White Nights, Moscow Easter, Rotterdam Philharmonic, Stresa, Mikkeli, Red Sea and Hollywood Bowl Festivals, New Israeli Opera’s Grand Artists Series, at Royal Covent Garden Opera, Mariinsky 3 , Tchaikovsky Moscow Conservatory halls and at Academia Santa Cecilia in Rome.
In 2014 Svetlana won “Live on Stage” live showcases. In 2014-15 Vadim Repin gave a series of concerts with Svetlana at the residences of Ambassador of Russia in Washington, D.C. and in London. UK for Maestro Repin ‘s Trans-Siberian Art Festival. Their March 2015 recital in Koerner Hall in Toronto received astonishing critical acclaim. In July 2015 they performed a recital as part of "2015 – Russian Year in Monaco" in the Salle Garnier, Monte-Carlo Opera for Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation. During the 2015-16 season Svetlana opened the season with Orquesta Sinfonica Nacional Juvenil in Lima, Peru, and went on New Year tour to China with Dublin Philharmonic/Derek Gleeson performing in 6 cities including Suzhou, Harbin, Wuhan, Tianjin and in Changsha opening their new concert hall.
