Jazz piano; Tardo Hammer has been an in demand accompanist and soloist on the New York scene since the 1980's. He gained valuable experience working alongside jazz masters such as instrumentalists Art Farmer, Junior Cook, Bill Hardman, Lionel Hampton, Lou Donaldson and vocalists Annie Ross, Earl Coleman, David Allyn, Chris Connor and Abbey Lincoln. He has performed at concerts, clubs and festivals throughout the US, Japan and Europe. Included in his extensive recording career are 6 highly acclaimed trio CDs as a leader; the most recent, Swinging on a Star, was released in July 2017. He has been teaching jazz piano and improvisation for over 30 years.
