Seventy-six years after The Wizard of Oz, we’re still singing songs by composer Harold Arlen. Together with lyricists like Johnny Mercer, Yip Harburg and Ira Gershwin, he’s taught generations how to “Accentuate the Positive” and sing the “Blues in the Night.” One of the most prolific and celebrated contributors to the Great American Songbook, Arlen spanned both Hollywood (The Wizard of Oz, A Star is Born) and Broadway (House of Flowers, St. Louis Woman). Featuring Kate Baldwin (Tony nominee, Finian's Rainbow), Joshua Henry (Tony nominee, Scottsborough Boys), Adam Jacobs (Aladdin), Liz Callaway, Matthew Scott (Sondheim on Sondheim, Jersey Boys), Allison Blackwell (A Night with Janis Joplin, The Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess), Billy Stritch (42nd Street) and cabaret stars Marilyn Maye, KT Sullivan, Eric Comstock and Barbara Fasano.
