Percussionist, composer, and Wilco drummer Glenn Kotche brings a varied program of dynamic premieres to Carnegie Hall for a special partnership between Carnegie and the Ecstatic Music Festival. With "unfailing taste, technique, and discipline" (Chicago Tribune), Kotche takes on a richly layered new work written expressly for him by John Luther Adams that melds the rigor of modern music with found sounds of the natural world and Alaskan field recordings. He is joined by Victoire, founded by “Brooklyn’s post-millennial Mozart” (Time Out New York) Missy Mazzoli, to give the world premieres of new works for solo percussion and ensemble written by himself and Mazzoli.
Tickets are available at the Carnegie Hall box office. Merkin Concert Hall pricing and subscription offers do not apply.
