Scott Ballantyne and Hiroko Sasaki, hailed by Le Figaro as "poets" and "consummate artists," return to Merkin for their third New York performance. Inspired by concert repertoire from the era of the great virtuosos, their latest program combines favorite works (Schubert's "Arpeggione" Sonata, Samuel Barber's Sonata) with pieces that have disappeared from today's concert programs (Haydn's C Major sonata, Freed's Passacaglia). This beautiful program is a reboot of the cello and piano recital.

For an immersive experience, please attend famed conductor, radio personality and Emmy Award nominee George Marriner Maull's pre-concert lecture about the program at 7:00pm in the Balcony Lobby!
