This program spans the ages of chamber music composition. In preparation for her upcoming recital tour, pianist Reiko Uchida will play Schubert's Sonata in A Major, D. 664, 200 years after its premiere, while the Neave Trio prepares for their upcoming concerts with the New York premiere of Lisa Ralia Heffter's "From Deep Space with Oxygen of Love."
The Neave Trio will also play "Pale Yellow" and "Fiery Red" by Pulitzer-prize winning composer Jennifer Higdon, pianist Benjamin Loeb will prepare two pieces by Brazilian composer Ernesto Nazareth and cellist Susan Salm will play "Intermezzi," a series of short intermezzos composed for her by Austrian composer Wolfgang Florey. Series founder, soprano Allison Charney, will sing operatic highlights accompanied by collaborative pianist Craig Ketter in anticipation of her upcoming orchestral concerts, in addition to their signature performance of Strauss' magnificent "Zueignung."
