At PREformances with Allison Charney you will hear celebrated classical musicians in anticipation of their upcoming performances on the world’s most prestigious stages. Join curator and host, acclaimed opera singer Allison Charney, as she guides the audience through a behind-the-scenes glimpse at these top-level artists' practices and performances, all while breaking the traditional barriers that exist between classical music performers and audience members.
Now in its tenth season, PREformances has presented over 100 guest artists, including New York Philharmonic Music Director Alan Gilbert, Metropolitan Opera singers William Burden and Maria Zifchak, flutist Carol Wincenc, violinist Kelly Hall-Tompkins, pianists Joel Fan and Navah Perlman and many more. The series founder and curator, soprano Allison Charney, performs on every concert.
