2017 Kaufman Music Center Gala

2017 Kaufman Music Center Gala

2017 Annual gala

Kaufman Music Center’s Annual Gala took place on Monday, May 22, 2017 at Guastavino's. This year, we were thrilled to celebrate Special Music School's 20th Anniversary and honor world-renowned violinist, and Special Music School Parent, Joshua Bell with the Creative Arts Award. Joshua performed with esteemed pianist Alessio Bax, as well as with some of our very talented students. It was an unforgettable evening. We are still tallying the total amount raised in support of music education, and look forward to updating you with more details (and photos!) soon!

HOW YOUR SUPPOrT made A DIFFERENCE

Kaufman Music Center enables music lovers of all ages and backgrounds, from curious fans to renowned performers, to come together to explore their passions. As one of New York City’s leading performing arts institutions, the Center combines innovative educational programs with electrifying performances. Proceeds from this event will benefit Kaufman Music Center’s educational programs, which reach more than 4,000 children and teens annually.

there's still time to GET INVOLVED!

The Live Auction and Paddle Raise portion of this year's event was a smashing success, raising over $150,000 on-site for the Center's Fund for Music Education!

With the help of several generous donors, we were able to give guests the opportunity to bid on an intimate dinner party hosted by Joshua Bell, a fabulous trip to Paris, a pair of front-and-center orchestra seats to see Bette Midler in Hello, Dolly!, and a pair of prime house seats to Dear Evan Hansen.

Guests also supported our students directly during the paddle raise. The Digital Paddle Raise is still underway, and you can still underwrite student scholarships, sponsor piano tunings, and commission original student compositions! Gifts of all sizes will help the Center invest over $7.5 million in music programs for more than 4,000 kids and teens in the coming year!

For further information about support, please contact Zoë Dickman, Development Associate, at 212 501 3356 or zdickman@kaufmanmusiccenter.org.
