2017 Annual gala

Kaufman Music Center’s Annual Gala will take place on Monday, May 22, 2017 at Guastavino's. This year, we are thrilled to celebrate Special Music School's 20th Anniversary and honor world-renowned violinist, and Special Music School Parent, Joshua Bell with the Creative Arts Award. We are excited to announce that Joshua will be performing with esteemed pianist Alessio Bax, as well as some of our very talented students. It should be an unforgettable evening, and we can’t wait to share it with you!


Kaufman Music Center enables music lovers of all ages and backgrounds, from curious fans to renowned performers, to come together to explore their passions. As one of New York City’s leading performing arts institutions, the Center combines innovative educational programs with electrifying performances. Proceeds from this event will benefit Kaufman Music Center’s educational programs, which reach more than 4,000 children and teens annually.

2016 Annual Gala

Last year's Gala took place at The Edison Ballroom on Tuesday May 24, 2016. Honoring Solange Landau and David Robertson, and featuring performances by violinists Gil Shaham and Adele Anthony with pianist Orli Shaham, this was an unforgettable celebration of what makes Kaufman Music Center so special!
