Star-Studded Performances
The 2019 Gala featured an exclusive, one-night-only performance featuring pioneering composer, vocalist, violinist and producer Caroline Shaw – the youngest ever recipient of the Pulitzer Prize for Music – and the Attacca Quartet along with the Special Music School High School Men’s Choir. Caroline’s wonderful new album with the Attacca Quartet, Orange, immediately skyrocketed to #1 on the iTunes Top 100 Classical Albums list on the day it was released. “A love letter to the string quartet” (NPR), “the music of Orange exudes joy and a sense of wildness… the pieces shoot off in thrilling and unpredictable directions” (Pitchfork).
Dynamic radio personality Terrance McKnight hosted the evening.

The Gala featured a live auction led by Lucas Hunt with special once-in-a-lifetime experiences, including a private concert with Orli Shaham, the opportunity to commission a piece by Caroline Shaw, the chance to sit in the radio booth at the Metropolitan Opera and tickets to Tootsie on Broadway.
