This event was livestreamed on Facebook by Kaufman Music Center and Living Music with Nadia Sirota on May 14, 2020.

Kaufman Music Center is thrilled to partner with Nadia Sirota’s Living Music: Pirate Radio Edition, a quarantine variety show that brings performances, conversation and community directly from socially-distanced artists to viewers at home. Originally scheduled as the final event in this season’s Ecstatic Music series at Merkin Hall, this concert, along with the rest of the Living Music season, has been re-imagined for the web, bringing together a dynamic group of acclaimed musicians online.

The guests include Grammy-nominated flutist, composer, and vocalist Nathalie Joachim; renowned composer and Co-Director of New Amsterdam Records Judd Greenstein; Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter Emily King, and virtuosic contemporary classical ensemble yMusic. The episode also features Kaufman Music Center Executive Director Kate Sheeran and musicians from Kaufman’s Special Music School High School – a NYC public school that teaches music as a core subject.
