22-year-old Italian pianist Elia Cecino is the winner of the 2023 Iturbi Piano Competition 2023 in Valencia, where the jury chaired by Joaquín Achúcarro awarded him special prizes for the best performance of a Beethoven Concerto and Chopin’s music. He previously won the New Orleans, Manchester and Lleida competitions and is laureate at the Rubinstein Competition in Tel Aviv and the New York Vendome Prize. Cecino performed at the Palau de la Música Catalana in Barcelona, Laeiszhalle in Hamburg, Teatro La Fenice in Venice, with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, La Fenice Orchestra, Louisiana Philharmonic, Sinfónica de Galicia, Sichuan Philharmonic, Israel Philharmonic, collaborating with conductors Riccardo Frizza, Oleg Caetani, Yoel Levi, Joshua Weilerstein, Timothy Muffitt, Xavier Puig and Álvaro Albiach.
