“A gifted virtuoso” (San Francisco Chronicle) with “mesmerizing artistry and extraordinary ability to communicate” (The Post-Standard), Llewellyn Sánchez-Werner was selected First Prize Winner of the Concert Artists Guild International Competition. Named a Gilmore Young Artist, his artistry has been featured in The New York Times, CBS, PBS, NPR, CNN International, Mexico News Daily, The Wall Street Journal, and WDR-Arte. Llewellyn performed at the White House and Kennedy Center for Presidents Obama and Biden, and he received the Atlantic Council Young Global Citizen Award in recognition of his social action through music in Rwanda, Iraq, France, Canada and the USA. Recent international performances include The Concertgebouw, the Verbier Festival, and the Louvre and Grenoble Museums. Llewellyn holds degrees from Juilliard and Yale and is an Adjunct Professor and Steinhardt PhD Fellow at NYU. Principal teachers include Ilya Itin, Eduardus Halim, Boris Berman, Robert Durso, Yoheved Kaplinsky, Noam Sivan and Lowell Liebermann.
