To celebrate the 90th birthday of legendary composer Steve Reich, internationally acclaimed percussionist Kuniko Kato brings her acclaimed STEVE REICH PROJECT to North America with performances in New York City, Los Angeles, and Vancouver. Leading a dynamic ensemble of emerging Japanese musicians, Kato presents an all-Reich program dedicated to the composer whose music has profoundly shaped contemporary musical culture.

Presented at Merkin Hall at Kaufman Music Center, in the city long associated with Reich’s artistic life and legacy, REICH90 offers a vibrant tribute through landmark works that continue to inspire audiences and performers worldwide. This special tour reflects Kato’s long-standing commitment to Reich’s music and her vision of passing this extraordinary repertoire to a new generation of artists, connecting Japan and North America through one of the most influential musical voices of our time.
