Women's Voices: Kala Ramnath with Brooklyn Raga Massive

Born into a dynasty of musical talent, Kala Ramnath is an accomplished violinist known for her revolutionary vocalized technique for the instrument known as the "singing violin." She will perform with her long-time collaborator Abhijit Banerjee on tabla. Arun Ramamurthy, a multifaceted violinist and composer rooted in South Indian classical "raga" music, will open the show with his innovative trio featuring Yacouba Sissoko on kora and Swaminathan Selvaganesh on Carnatic kanjira.
