Welcome to the 2023 World Civic Orchestra “Rebirth” concert! Founded in 2010, the WCO has performed across the globe using music to bridge the world’s differences. With this mission at the heart of the orchestra, a global community of performers has come together to share the universal experience of music-making. Performing for the first time in three years, we are thrilled to share this exciting program that acknowledges loss and celebrates recovery and resilience.

This season’s performance will commence with Prokofiev’s playful and humorous “Classical” Symphony. The charming sounds of Prokofiev will be followed by Mendelssohn's thrilling work, “Violin Concerto in E minor,” featuring violinist Wen-Miao Hsu. Our 2023 concert will conclude with the rich melodies and robust optimism of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7. This program celebrates the strength of music and community as well as the joy of musicianship.
