Young dancers are introduced to the discipline and vocabulary of a classical ballet class. Emphasis is on correct alignment and musicality, and the instructor places great importance on individual attention. Girls and boys also work on choreographed dances, which they perform onstage at our annual spring dance recital in Merkin Hall.
The curriculum is designed to continue through the Fall and Spring semesters. Students are encouraged to register for the same day and time for both Fall and Spring. Students enrolling in Fall and Spring Dance classes together receive a 10% discount on the Spring class tuition.
Spring classes with a minimum age of 4 and beyond culminate in a performance in May in Merkin Hall.
Summer classes are standalone.
Please visit the Dance Program Page for attire info, discounts, and recital information.
