Children work together to develop dance technique and explore choreographic ideas. Favorite movement games are incorporated each week. Age appropriate vocabulary from modern styles and children's own natural movements are structured to mold space and rhythm into finished dances.
The curriculum is designed to continue through the Fall and Spring semesters. Students are encouraged to register for the same day and time for both Fall and Spring. Students enrolling in Fall and Spring Dance classes together receive a 10% discount on the Spring class tuition.
Dance classes with a minimum age of 2 or 3 culminate with a share in the studio. Spring Dance classes with a minimum age of 4 and beyond culminate with a recital in Merkin Hall.
Summer classes are standalone.
