Only Connect: A Dalcroze Weekend

Music is a means of connection: to rhythm, to the body and to one another. Ruth Alperson kicks off the weekend Friday evening with a workshop—available as a stand-alone event—that invites participants into a deep, embodied encounter with a musical score through movement, singing and improvisation. 

This 2-hour intro to the Weekend Intensive is led by master instructor Ruth Alperson.  The Dalcroze Weekend Intensive offers adult students the opportunity to immerse themselves in the Dalcroze method, which includes studying rhythm, pitch and harmony through creative movement and physical, vocal and instrumental improvisation. Weekend Intensive classes can lead to the Dalcroze Professional Certificate. Dalcroze beginners are welcome!
