New York City-based solo and collaborative pianist Cameron Pieper is known to engage audiences through thought-provoking concert programs and interdisciplinary and heartfelt performances. Cameron has performed solo and chamber concerts around the country from the West Coast of the USA all the way to Tignes, France. Recent collaborative performances include recitals at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall and the Performing Arts Library at Lincoln Center.

As a freelance pianist, Cameron enjoys regularly collaborating with musicians ranging from students to elite performers in the MET, Charlotte Symphony, and several Broadway musicals. In addition, he is currently a staff collaborative pianist at the Lucy Moses School and the Special Music School at the Kaufman Center.

He has won numerous solo prizes in performance including those from The Concord Chamber Orchestra Concerto Competition, The Eastern Music Festival Concerto Competition, first prizes in The Schubert Club Competition, The Wisconsin Federation of Music Clubs Collegiate Biennial Competition, The Neale Silva Competition, and The Lawrence University Concerto Competition among others.

Cameron holds a Master of Music degree from the Manhattan School of Music in piano performance under Presidential Scholarship where he studied piano with Alexandre Moutouzkine and Solomon Mikowsky and chamber music with Sylvia Rosenberg. A Wisconsin native, his undergraduate studies were conducted at Lawrence University with Catherine Kautsky where he earned multiple degrees in piano performance, with an emphasis in collaborative piano, and mathematics with a focus in number theory again under multiple scholarships. While at Lawrence, he was also captain of the school’s NCAA D-III soccer team.
