Matthew Reichert—Violin, Suzuki Violin; Pre-college studies, MacPhail Center, University of Minnesota; B.M, The Juilliard School; M.A. (Music), The Conservatory of Music at Brooklyn College, CUNY; D.M.A. (Performance), The Graduate Center, CUNY; studied with Dorothy DeLay, Masao Kawasaki, Itzhak Perlman, Naoko Tanaka, Mary West, Felix Galimir and members of the Tokyo String Quartet; pedagogical studies with Louise Behrend; faculty, Special Music School, Conservatory of Music and Preparatory Center at Brooklyn College, CUNY (Director of String program 2006-present); Greenwich Suzuki Academy; former faculty, School of Music, University of Iowa, Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University, Bloomingdale House of Music, Starling Fellow Violin Instructor and director of Technique Classes for Studio of Dorothy DeLay at the Juilliard School, and the Aspen Music School; performances and master classes in the U.S., Central America, former Soviet Union, Italy, Japan and China.
