Nate Reit is an active teacher and dynamic freelance trombonist in the New York City area. He brings a focus on improving fundamentals of great brass playing, as well as developing high-level musicianship skills. Nate is on faculty at Special Music School High School, Fordham University, and Kinhaven Music School, where he has been Jr. Session Head of Brass since 2013. He has also been a featured guest artist at Kinhaven Sr. Session, teaches regularly at the Ethical Culture Fieldston School, and maintains a home private teaching studio. Nate received his BM from the Eastman School of Music, where he studied with Mark Kellogg and Dr. John Marcellus.

Over the past 20 years Nate has enjoyed a diverse performance schedule with symphony orchestras, brass quintets, jazz ensembles, musicals, and just about everything in between. He can be heard performing regularly at Broadway shows, the Radio City Christmas Spectacular, and with other ensembles throughout the New York area. Past performance credits include Norwalk Symphony, Symphony in C, Vermont Symphony Orchestra, Queens Symphony Brass Quintet, Opera Company of Middlebury, the Oratorio Societies of Westchester and New Jersey, and nationally touring rock band, Gang of Thieves. Nate also performs regularly on bass trombone, alto trombone, and tuba.
