Bassoonist Stephanie Corwin enjoys a varied musical career playing modern, classical, baroque and renaissance instruments. As a soloist, she was named the inaugural winner of the Meg Quigley Vivaldi Bassoon Competition and was a semifinalist in the Ima Hogg Young Artists Competition. Ms. Corwin performs with ensembles across the country, including the American Classical Orchestra, Apollo’s Fire, Handel and Haydn Society, the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra and Trinity Baroque Orchestra. She has previously taught at the University of Virginia and Wabash College, and, in addition to teaching at Lucy Moses, is currently on the performance faculty at Hunter College. Ms. Corwin received degrees from Davidson College, Yale University (M.M.), Stony Brook University (D.M.A.) and Indiana University (P.D.).
