Composer, soprano and Kaufman Music Center Artist-in-Residence Kamala Sankaram’s highly theatrical music defies categorization. Her Merkin Hall debut will feature her work with the genre-defying, pan-global band Bombay Rickey, plus the world premiere of Crescent for solo voice and electronics, performed by Kamala. The program also features students from the John J. Cali School of Music.
